Almost Two Years Later

I was going through some pictures yesterday and came across a picture of Katherine holdng Thomas when he was only a day old. I decided to take a picture of them today and post both of them to show how much they have grown. I knew there would be a big difference with Thomas but I was so surprised how much older Katherine looks. I still can't believe they are going to be 9 and 2 next month. Where does the time go?

Thomas Dancing

Thomas has really started to enjoy music. He has a funny little dance he does where he bounces and swings his arms. I finally got some video of him today. It turned out a little dark but he wouldn't do it over for me. So hopefully you all can see it okay.

Katherine has been in PA with mom and dad this week. She seems to be enjoying her time up there getting spoiled by everyone. She has been going out for icecream every night. I am so jealous!!

Things are going to get really busy in a few weeks. Ryan goes back to work in 2 weeks and Katherine is back to school in 3 weeks. I still can't believe she is going to be in 4th grade. Next month she will be 9 and Thomas will be 2. Where does the time go?? I will be going back to school mid-August, too. So like I said things are going to get really busy. I am hoping I can keep up with the blog once I am in school. We will see!

Twins come to visit

I realized that my twin nephews turned 10 months old yesterday. The bad thing about this is I also realized they have never been to my house. Last year Carrie and Dan came over in June when she was pregnant and that is the last time they had been over. That is sooo sad on my part. Especially since we are only 15 minutes away from each other and I have been over to Carrie and Dan's quite a few times in the last year.

Anyways we finally had them over to swim and cook out. It was a lot of fun. The kids all enjoyed the water and the food tasted great. I felt bad because I didn't get any pictures of them in the water. I did get a few of the twins later when we were inside.

Atticus loved playing with our old cell phones. We kept them for Thomas because he likes to "talk on them".

I also got a cute one of Carrie and Isaiah. She is such a good mom!
It was a really great day. I just need to make sure I do it more often!!

Feeding the turtles

Ryan and I took Katherine, Thomas, Ali and Teddy(the two kids I watch) to the park behind our library today. There are alot of turtles at the pond so we took bread to feed them. The kids had a blast. We counted at least 17 turtles at one point. Some of them were pretty big. Thomas loved to see the "baby" turtles and yelled everytime he saw one. We had a fun time. The weather was nice because it was cloudy all day. The best part about it was it was free entertainment for the kids. I am my mother's daughter!!

My New Niece Claire

We had a wonderful weekend meeting my new niece Claire. She is such a beautiful baby.

Katherine and Thomas had a lot of fun seeing Claire. Katherine enjoyed holding her.

Thomas kissed her on the head a few times and after asking many times I finally let him "hold" her. He did really well.

We enjoyed our time with Tim and Leia. They seem to be adjusting to parenthood really well. It was a great 4th of July with our family.

Going to Alabama

Well it is 7:00 a.m. Thomas woke up at 5:45 this morning. We are leaving soon to head to Alabama to see my new niece Claire. Needless to say we are all very excited! We had a blast looking at pictures of her last night. Tim put up a bunch of them on his blog. Stay tuned for pictures next week!!
