Middle School Here I come!
Katherine had here first middle school dance tonight. She had a great time and she was very excited to buy a new dress for the dance. I was glad that her school put this together. The dance was for outgoing 6th graders and incoming 6th graders. It gave Katherine a chance to meet a few 6th graders. She said it made her feel better because they said middle school was not too bad as long as you do your work. Thankfully Katherine has always been a good student so I am not worried. Enjoy the pics of my beautiful daughter!

Happy Easter
Happy Easter to everyone! I know that you all probably think I have disappeared but I promise you I am still here. I am almost done with this semester and I am very grateful. I will finish on May 4th and have 4 classes over the summer that start May 18th. The break won't be too long but, that just means I am getting closer to being done. I did find out that I will not be finishing till December of 2012 because of the way my classes are offered. I cannot complain too much about this because I know I am not the only student that is getting messed up in the college system right now. The good news is that I will not be in school at all next summer. I am already looking forward to that.
Ryan was certified in Febuary to teach high school English so he is hoping to get a job in that area for the fall. He is ready to make a change from middle school and I am hoping it will work out. We are praying for something much closer to home since his drive right now is 30 to 40 minutes one way. We would love to put some of that gas money back into our pockets!!
Katherine only has 4 weeks left of elementary school. I still can't believe she is going to be in middle school in the fall. Where does the time go? She is very excited because this Friday she is going to a dance at the middle school and she will get to meet some 6th graders from this year. I am hoping that they will tell her middle school is not so bad! :)
I registered Thomas for Pre-K two weeks ago. I don't know who is having a harder time with this - me or grandma. Mom and Carrie have been so wonderful about watching Thomas for me while I am at school. Thankfully Carrie is going to help mom stay busy in the fall by having a new baby. It's a boy!! We are excited and can't wait to meet him. Isaiah and Atticus call him "Day, Day" so Carrie and Dan better come up with something that starts with a D!
Ryan had off work yesterday for Good Friday so I was able to get a lot of school work done while he entertained this kids. So thankfully we had a fun family day today. We went ahead and gave the kids their Easter baskets and dyed eggs today since Easter Sunday gets busy with church. Thomas did not have any GIJOE's yet so Ryan said he had to get some for Easter. I was only planning on getting one but Ryan said I had to get at least two! I wonder why?? I think someone was wanting to relive some childhood memories! Katherine wanted a Webkinz for Easter. Normally I do not buy my children stuffed animals but a Webkinz comes with a code so you can play on the computer with it. It has a lot of cool educational games on the site that you have to play to earn money to buy things for your pet. It really is cute! I thought it was really sweet when we went to pick out her Webkinz because she got a lab and named him Midnight. For those of you that do not know it, our lab, Midnight died in January. So she seemed very happy with her Webkinz as you will see in the photos below. Enjoy the pictures!
