Katherine on 1st trail ride

Katherine started the 4-H horse club in October and she went on her 1st trail ride a few weeks ago. She rode a horse named Babes and she really enjoyed it a lot. She had gone to an all day camp in October but they were under strict supervision with the horses so she didn't really have full control over the horse. However, on this trail ride she did and she loved it. Enjoy the pictures!

Cleopatra and Spiderman

I hope you all had a fun Halloween. We had a fun night of "trunk or treating" at our church again this year. The kids ended up going to three trunk or treats on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Needless to say they were very tired and full of too much candy come Monday morning! We are all still trying to recover! Katherine went as Cleopatra and Thomas went as Spiderman. Katherine Horse Riding

Katherine has started doing a horse club through the 4-H program at her school. She is learning all the parts of the horse and how to groom them. She has gone to two meetings and had an all day horse camp a few weeks ago to learn safety around horses, how to saddle them and how to get on and off them safely. Unfortunately I did not get any pictures of her at the horse camp! (I never have my camera when I need it.) She does have a trail ride she is going to be going on in two weeks so I will get pictures then. The two pictures below show her in her helmet and riding boots. Most of the boots are hidden by the jeans but she loves to wear them!

Thomas is Three!!

My little man is three today!! It is so hard to believe. Thomas is such a handsome and smart little guy and I love him more than I can say. I am so happy that he is a part of this family. He might have come along 7 years after his sister but he was worth the wait! I am so grateful to have two beautiful and healthy children. God has definitely been good to Ryan and I!! Thomas and Katherine both got new bikes for their birthdays. Thomas also got a spiderman umbrella that he has been wanting everytime we saw it in Walmart. He was also excited to get some super hero tattoos!! We enjoyed taking the new bikes to the parking lot behind Katherine's school. It is a nice flat place for them to ride. I got a short video of Thomas on his bike. He is doing really well on it.

Happy 10th Birthday Katherine!!

Yesterday my beautiful daughter turned 10!! I am still dealing with the reality of this! We had a wonderful family dinner at Logan's. All of the family was present except for Tim, Leia, and Claire - they will be here on Labor Day weekend to celebrate Katherine, Thomas, Atticus, and Isaiah's birthdays. Beth a friend from church was also able to come. She has become another aunt to Katherine! Katherine was very excited to get a Justin Bieber cd and t-shirt. She also got some silly bands, jewlery, and new cosmetic bags. She made out very well, especially since she will be getting more presents Labor Day weekend! We had a great time and enjoyed great food. I had a hard time throughout dinner looking at Katherine. I must admit I was very emotional that my

child has hit double digits! Enjoy the pictures!!

Katherine Starts 5th Grade!

I just returned from taking Katherine to school. I can't believe she started 5th grade today. I am still trying to deal with the reality that she will be 10 in two weeks. She is becoming a beautiful young lady and I love her more than I can say. She is such a smart girl and I can't wait to see how much she learns this year. I know she will do great!!

Summer Vacation at Universal Studios!!

The four of us went to Universal Studios in Orlando last week. We were all impressed with how short the lines were. We had two rides that we had to wait about 30 minutes. Other than that the lines were short. Ryan, Katherine and I are big Harry Potter fans so we really enjoyed that new area of the park. Thomas rode his first roller coaster in the Harry Potter area. He loved it!! There is a picture below of Ryan and Thomas before the ride started. You can see how happy Thomas was! This was taken after we had ridden the roller coaster three times already. Thomas really enjoyed the Dr. Seuss area. He loved the One Fish, Two Fish ride, and the Caro-Seuss-el. (So did Katherine!!) Katherine and Thomas also loved the Jurassic Park area. They loved taking their pictures with the big dinosaurs! Thomas was very excited to get his picture taken with Spiderman and Barney. We also got pictures of the kids with The Cat in the Hat and the Grinch. Ryan enjoyed the bigger rollercoasters while the kids and I hung out in The Dr. Seuss area. Ryan and I returned to our childhood on the E.T. ride. We even got a family picture with E.T.!! We had a wonderful time!
